GOOD NEWS!

After paying a deposit last month, I nearly wet myself with excitement this week when I had some very exciting news from the garage!

The team at @johnsonautoworks have been hard at work with engine mounts and modifying Buddy’s body shell to fit a new GTI engine and gearbox 🔧 They’re using mock-ups to ensure everything fits perfectly atm but the transformation is officially underway 😍 YAY!

I wanted to say a HUGE thank you again to everyone who’s supported my SAVE BUDDY ideas so far 💛 Whether you’ve bought us a brew via @buymeacoffee, ordered a Sunshine Box, played with my beaver (Oi Oi!) or have been cheering us on and sending good vibes - it all helps so much and is a massive, much needed mood boost, so THANK YOU!

I’ve been working behind the scenes to add more of your suggested ideas to the shop too, so keep your peepers peeled for colouring pages and stickers ✨ Still not sure I’m brave enough to crack on with the Only Vans idea yet but hey, it’s still on my list 👀

I also want you to know that the funds from Buddy-specific projects have been going into a separate ‘pot’ so far, which I’m making a fun little graphic for ✏️ I’ll be sharing that soon and will aim to keep you all updated as things progress! 🚌🫙💛

I can’t tell you how nervous I’ve been about all of this! It feels great to share some good and exciting news about Buddy though and here’s hoping we’ll be back by the sea again soon 😁 Thank you for sticking with us!

PS. For full transparency, the majority of funds for Buddy’s engine work are coming from borrowed money and credit cards right now, which will be paid off once my divorce is settled. My personal life isn’t really anybody else’s business, but as you guys know, my business is me and I am my business 🤪

PPS. My paranoid brain also wants you guys to know that all the birthday frivolities and trips I’ve been on recently were all pre-arranged and funded VERY separately from all of this! In fact, selling most of my wardrobe is how I fund holidays 😅 So if anyone wants the link to my Vinted, let me know!
