Inside Hello Sunshine

All about the heart behind the sunshine.

Hello! I'm Jo Want…

the cheesy grin and creative soul behind Hello Sunshine. Currently based in Leicestershire I spend my days surrounded by sketchbooks, cups of tea, and many a snack (usually cheese or potato based!! It is in this happy place that the Sunshine is made.

A woman with long brown hair, wearing glasses and a black shirt, is sitting at a wooden table with art supplies and a drink. She is smiling and appears to be laughing.

My current collections of jewellery include laser-cut wooden pins and earrings, all of which are designed by me and handmade into finished pieces at my little home studio.

Inspiration comes from a variety of sources, including adventures to new places, animals, food and people. I often find myself inspired by things that make me smile and anything that I have a true love of seems to work its way into my jewellery... like cats, sunflowers and cheese, for example! I also love the great outdoors, and you'll often find me out enjoying nature.

custom portraits and live illustrations

I also illustrate personalised portraits on a commission basis, as well as offering live portraits at events such as weddings, craft fairs, and corporate brand experiences. These 10-minute live illustrations are a wonderful way to delight your guests, and I've been known to live illustrate many-a-pet in my time as well. I think it's fair to say that I'm pretty happy to draw almost anything though, so feel free to get in touch if you have any exciting ideas!

If any of that waffle tickles your fancy then please come and join me on some of my creative adventures through any of the social media links below or email me at bonjour[@]hello-sunshine.co.uk.
