It's Gin O'Clock!
Squee! There’s some new kids on the block. Introducing the brand new additions to the gin collection. It’s 5 o’clock somewhere, right?
It’s no secret that I’m a fan of gin, so I thought that now the collection is expanding, I would give you a little bit of an insight into why I decided to base a collection around this tasty tipple.
My fascination with gin began on a snowboarding trip when I first tried a free sample of Hendricks with cucumber in the airport. Needless to say that was my tipple of choice for the rest of that trip!
I started collecting different gins, I was (still am) really interested in all the different flavours and variations - not to mention the creativity involved in some of the labels and bottles. Everyone says not to judge a book by it’s cover, but the artwork that companies are using on their labels these days is so flipping cool. How can you not be drawn to it!?
The Beard and I collected many a gin bottle and they ended up being a featured at our wedding, holding lots of flowers or candles. We still have a few dotted about the house now! They come in such cool shapes and sizes and upcycling things to use around the house is such a great way to decorate.
Whether it's a refreshing gin and slice over ice on a summer's evening by the river or mulled gin and cider cocktail by a fire pit in the winter, I'm pretty sure there's a Gin for everyone.
