Well, it’s official: Hello Sunshine is clocking out for the holidays. The shop is shut, the orders are out, and my brain? It’s switching off faster than a fairy light with a dodgy wire.
From now until the New Year, my days will be fueled by cheese, port, and a frankly suspicious number of pickles. (Seriously, is it normal to eat them straight from the jar? Let’s not ask.) When I’m not working through my festive snack stash, you’ll likely find me harassing Toby and Pegs, wondering if I’ve wrapped the TV remote again, or dreaming up ways to make January’s return to reality as painless as possible.
But before I fully descend into my festive cocoon, I wanted to take a moment to say a massive, pickle-scented thank you. Every order you placed this year, every kind word, and every little ounce of support has meant the absolute world. You’ve kept the lights on, the pens scribbling, and the fridge stocked with all the cheesy, tangy delights a chaotic creative could hope for.
As much as I joke about it, there’s no better feeling than knowing my work has brought you a little joy, whether it’s a piece of jewelry that made you smile or an illustration that brightened your day. That connection? It’s why I do what I do and how this cheesy fizzog keeps going!
So here’s to the year we’ve shared—and to the delicious, slightly unhinged holiday season ahead. I hope your days are filled with all the things that make you happiest, whether that’s family, good food, or a suspicious number of pickles of your own.
