As part of the build up to the Super Seconds Festival this month, the lovely Sophie (Ink and Bear) set up a series of prompts to run as a weekly Instagram challenge.

With less than a week to go to the MEGA Super Seconds Festival now, I’m jumping in last minute to join the challenge and thought I’d share the prompts here in one blog post too - so buckle up for all 4 prompts in one go!

ABOUT YOU

HELLO THERE! I’m Jo and I design and make happy laser-cut jewellery as well as illustrating portraits of lovely pets and people 🎨 I’m very excited to be able to take part in this huge online event and am very much looking forward to opening my 10min Portrait books just for the festival 😍

I’ll also have a cheeky stash of lucky-dip Sunshine boxes up for grabs too - YAY! ☀️ I don’t know about you guys, but I can’t wait to have a good stalk of the 250 indie makers taking part and start a wish list for my own shopping spree 💛 #SuperSecondsFestival

why?

The next prompt is all about WHY I’m getting involved. I mean. there’s not much to it really other than WHY WOULDN’T I? Sophie & James have brought together the magical, creative community and an awesome opportunity to showcase our wares (and bargains) in a whopping online event!

Hopefully you all know by now how much I love releasing portrait slots and painting for you all so I’m very excited they accepted me and my paintbrushes into the Festival 🎨 I’m also hoping that those who aren’t in the market for a Sunshine Portrait will enjoy the Sunshine Boxes I’ve put together too ☀️ Either way, it’s going to be a fun weekend and I’m honoured to be taking part with so many other talented teams - seriously just check out the #SuperSecondsFestival tag!

Next up in my belated Super Seconds Festival bombardment and it’s about COMMUNITY & COLLABORATION 🌟 Even though I feel like I’ve been an absolute shitshow with my organisation and participation in the lead up to this fab event, the energy, enthusiasm and encouragement within the @SuperSecondsFestival groups and online has been incredible!

It’s events and groups like these that makes it an absolute joy to be part of the creative community! Thank you @inkandbear, me and Buddy can’t wait to join you all this weekend! 💛
