Just a Card Week
This week is JUST A CARD week and I’ve been so busy, thanks to you lovely lot, I haven’t had the time or brain space to take part… until TODAY! So I’m ‘treating’ you all to a mega-bumper-sunshine-shot of all 5 prompts in one little blog post - you lucky beans.
So, here goes…
DAY 1 : YOU
Hi, I’m Jo and this is the cheesy grin behind Hello Sunshine and all the drawings, jewellery and cups of tea you see here. I am from Nottingham originally but now live in Cambridge with my two cats, a Bearded Beauty and our Campervan, Buddy.
DAY 2 : JUST A CARD
The ‘Just a Card’ message is very important to me, as it is to many small business owners. Now, I don’t sell cards (as you may have noticed), but whatever us indie businesses create, work on and put out there, into the big wild world; we put our heart and soul into it and every sale of every item, commission or service we offer means the world to us and means we can keep making you smile with our work.
DAY 3 : COMMUNITY
Something I am incredibly grateful for when I work alone most days - as I’m sure many small business peeps will appreciate! Whether it’s through local events like the #CambridgeCreativesPhotowalk or picnics, colourful catch ups with In Colourful Company, flicking through Caboodle magazine and The Procrastination Paper or being part of online communities like Cambridge Made and The Indie Roller, I feel SO LUCKY to be part of this crazy-wonderful, creative community.
DAY 4 : EVENTS
I’m only doing 2 festive events this year. My 1st was last weekend, back in my home-home town at the wonderful Nottingham Contemporary and this week I am in my now-home town at the Cambridge Made Christmas fair. It’s on TODAY from 10-6pm today and again tomorrow so come on down and say Hello if you’re around. I’m also VERY EXCITED to say that you will find me and #BuddytheSunshineVan popping up at The Most Curious Wedding Fair again in 2020! Eeeeek!
DAY 5 : INDIE FRIDAY
As well as selling at the Cambridge Made Fair today, I am running a cheeky discount and offer on jewellery and pins over in my Sunshine shops.
