pickles and sunshine

It’s been almost three weeks without Pegs, and I’m still adjusting to the quiet without her sass, snuggles and constant Judgy McJudgson looks.

I collected her ashed this week, which was a fucktonne harder than I ever expected but it also meant I could do something special to remember my little ray of sunshine — my sassy Princess, my beloved Pickle — and I’ll be planting something special.

One is a Delosperma Echinatum, also known as the Pickle Plant (because of course it is). The other is a Spiraea Japonica called Golden Princess. I couldn’t resist that name — it felt like a little head butt from her and will look beautiful in the garden next to her sunny little bench spot.
