SUMMER FESTIVAL ADVENTURES

sunshine on the road

This summer was an absolute whirlwind of festivals, from solstice celebrations to food-filled weekends. Whether I was pimping my Sunshine Jewellery or painting up a storm with Sunshine Portraits, each event brought something special (and blew my tiny-little mind!).

Here's a little recap of my summer of sunshine…

First Light Festival, Lowestoft : summer Solstice

Kicking things off at the First Light Festival in Lowestoft was the perfect way to celebrate the solstice. Sunshine Jewellery glittered by the sea as I soaked up the sun and the coastal vibes. It was a beautiful way to embrace the longest day of the year with my sunniest designs.

Leicester Food Festival

Fast forward to August, and I set up shop at the Leicester Food Festival. Between mouth-watering smells from the food stalls, I had a blast chatting with festival-goers about all things jewellery.

Watching people light up when they found a piece that spoke to them was the highlight!

Alconbury Food Festival

Now for the Sunshine Portraits side of things! I had the pleasure of sketching some of the loveliest faces at the Alconbury Food Festival. From little ones to family pets, I set up my easel and captured the essence of the day.

Plus, there was another very special appearance by my beaver - yes, you read that right. You’ll want to check out the Insta reel for that! And you can see more Alconbury highlights here and here.

We Out Here Festival

Next up was the We Out Here Festival, where the vibes were nothing short of magical. Between the music, art, and food, I spent most of the weekend painting up a storm. It was exhausting but so rewarding to see how much joy these portraits brought to people.

If you spotted a flurry of colourful paint brushes and a tired artist, that was probably me!

Shambala Festival

Closing out the summer season with a bang, Shambala Festival was pure creative energy. I had a steady stream of festival-goers coming to get their portraits done, and I loved every minute of it (even when my social battery hit zero)!

Of course, Buddy, my trusty camper, was my retreat at the end of each day. There’s nothing quite like unwinding under the stars after a long day of painting.

And that was my summer festival tour! It was amazing to meet so many new faces and share my little rays of sunshine through both jewellery and portraits. I’m already dreaming of next year’s festival adventures… but for now, I’ll be recharging, with my paintbrushes safely tucked away for a few weeks.
